Happy Friday You A-W-E-S-O-M-E Hurricanes!

As educators say in June, WE ARE WINDING UP TO WIND DOWN!   So many great things taking place at H.T. as we approach our year-end, so please have a look at the dates to make sure you don’t miss anything!

Families are invited to join our final school mass in our gymnasium on Monday, June 12th @ 9:30am.  Father Valentine will preside our mass and shine a special light on our dear Graduates of 2023!  Father is also hoping as many of you as possible can make it out to the St. John Parish Picnic on Saturday, June 24thPlease see the attached flyer.  Families are asked to pre-register using the QR-Code!  It looks like it’ll be a great time!

There are no goodbyes, only we’ll see you again!”  On Wednesday, June 28th, we will be celebrating Hurricane staff who have served our community with much energy, passion and love.  These folks will be spreading their wings to share their strengths and talents with other schools and with the world.  We will do our best to thank and support these staff along their journey, and at the same time, help welcome and transition our new staff to H.T., our community, our students and their families!  Here is a summary;

Thank you to all these beautiful people for giving their heart and soul to the Hurricane Community!  You will all do AWESOME!  It’s been said, “EMBRACE UNCERTAINTY, SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CHAPTERS IN YOUR LIFE WON’T HAVE A TITLE UNTIL MUCH LATER!”  Even so, you are all Hurricanes-4-Life!  We will miss you and we love you all…

On that note, during this month of June we’ve been praying prayers from the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus each day on the announcements.  And it might be an appropriate time to share a prayer that can help each of us deal with both the excitement of June and all the celebrations that are taking place to honour this fun and exhilarating school year, and at the same time we know for many, the onset of the summer and changes that may be taking place next school year can bring about anxiety, worry and uncertainty.  The prayers we’ve been reading each day remind us of this one thing;

We are all On the Way Together!”

Therefore, on this journey, we pray;

We place our trust in you, Lord... ON THE WAY.

You call us to love God and love our neighbour... ON THE WAY.

You are with us in times of trouble … ON THE WAY.

You call us to be generous and helpful to those we meet … ON THE WAY.

You give us yourself as living bread – food for the journey… ON THE WAY.

You call us to be peacemakers … ON THE WAY.

Let our light shine … ON THE WAY.

Teach us … ON THE WAY.

Jesus, give light to our learning ... ON THE WAY.

Remind us that we never walk alone … ON THE WAY.

AMEN

Thanks for walking with us this year Hurricanes!  And always remember, Jesus loves us so much that he is always walking behind us, in front of us, but at most times, right beside us.  Have a wonderful weekend, take care of yourselves and each other!
