Hurricane 'WEEKLY' Newsletter for April 24th - 28th, 2023

Happy Friday you A-W-E-S-O-M-E Hurricanes!

Please find attached our Hurricane 'WEEKLY' Newsletter for April 24th - 28th, 2023.

Hope everyone has a wonderful spring weekend.  Tomorrow, April 22nd is EARTH DAY!  As we shared with our students this morning, we invite all Hurricanes to do what you can to help Mother Earth.  We can't do everything, but as Mother Teresa said, "we can all do small things with great love!"  Use less water, help clean up garbage at your local park or school, it all helps.  Just remember, THE EARTH IS SOMETHING WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON!  Here's the prayer we read this morning to start our day...

Dear God, you have given us every reason to learn to live in harmony with Creation.

May we, your servants, increasingly come to love the earth as we love you and keep giving us the courage to love others, as Jesus did for us. Let us always leave the earth, the forest, the trail, the playground, the field and all the beautiful spaces we enjoy - cleaner and in a better state than we found it before.  And let us always remember, that nature grows slowly - millimeters at a time, but humans can destroy and disrespect nature kilometers at a time!

It's all of our earth, it’s all of our duty to love it, take care of it, respect it, clean it, preserve it, share it, help it grow and leave in a better place for our future generations.  Lord, give us the wisdom and courage to live out this promise.  Amen

We'll see everyone next week for the final week of April!  Where does the time go right!?  Beginning in May, we will be celebrating Catholic Education Week, so stay tuned for next week's Hurricane WEEKLY edition for a ton of exciting things we have planned for May 1st-5th.  Have a wonderful weekend Hurricanes!

Take care of yourselves and each other...And our Earth!!!
