It's been a fabulous week in which we were able to celebrate Holy Week through announcements, classroom activities, social media and our Liturgy this afternoon. A H-U-G-E shoutout to the students in Mrs. McBain and Mr. Kelly's classes who did a fabulous job leading our celebration! In addition, we thank all of our Hurricane staff for allowing our 1st ever FAITH DAY to take place on Tuesday. With their shared leadership, talents and strengths, we were able to facilitate a wonderful day in which our young people could build strong connections with their faith, social justice and with their school community! Thank you to families for having your children bring in a mason jar. Our theme for the day was BE THE LIGHT...Each student was able to create their own decorated stained glass light, symbolic of the light that Jesus brings into the world, and the light he wants us to be for each other. As St. Francis said, "No amount of darkness in the world can extinguish the light of a single candle." So let this Easter remind us to keep being the light that our world needs Hurricanes!

Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on GOOD FRIDAY, April 7th or on EASTER MONDAY, April 10th. We'll see everyone back on Tuesday , April 11th to keep on loving learning, celebrating life and taking care of each other!
