Hurricane 'WEEKLY' Newsletter for April 3rd - 7th, 2023

Happy Friday you A-W-E-S-O-M-E Hurricanes!

Please find attached our Hurricane ‘WEEKLY’ Newsletter for April 3rd – 7th, 2023.

Next week is the most important week in our faith.  We celebrate Holy Week, as we end our Lenten journey and lead up to the joyful anticipation of Easter.  Our educators will continue to provide our young people with opportunities to understand the series of events that led up to the greatest promise that God so desired to give to each and everyone of us, through his son Jesus Christ.  That is His promise of “eternal salvation.”  As your child’s first teacher, we invite you to help us share in that joyful mystery with our young people and give gratitude at Easter.

And with us already entering this new month of April, it’s that time to start preparing to celebrate the 2022-2023 school year and all of its wonderful memories with our Hurricane Yearbook!   The Yearbook committee is looking for student art for the yearbook cover. Please find attached to this email a poster with the requirements for any submissions.  Be brave Hurricanes and let’s see those wonderful artistic strengths and talents.  With that said, auditions for this years Hurricane Talent Show are well on their way and continue in the next couple of weeks.  We are so proud of the number of courageous students who have stepped forward to share their gifts with the school and the world!  Stay tuned for more details on when our talent show will take place.  A special shout-out to Mrs. Karl, Mrs. Newell and Mrs. Cazzola for their tireless and patient leadership organizing and facilitating this terrific event!  We know there’s a lot of mess and work behind the scenes!

Finally, given that this Easter and coming of spring is always an appropriate important time to receive the sacrament of confession and reconciliation, we just wanted to acknowledge that we need to do better with our traffic and cars before and afterschool.  This is never a “child” problem, it is always an “adult” challenge.  Remember, that we always have to choose STUDENT SAFETY over ADULT CONVENIENCE.  We know folks are rushed to get to work or to get to another location, however, your patience, collaboration and just a deep breath matters so much in keeping the area around our school SAFE for our pedestrians and young people.  So 2 important reminders.  First, only those families with Kindergarten children may use the front driveway loop before school for the Kiss N’ Ride Program.  Secondly, we ask that parents not use the parking lot after school to pick up their children.  With close to 300 families, that would mean a lot of cars buzzing around, and again, we are choosing STUDENT SAFETY on our campus.  Finally, with the nicer weather just around the corner, it’s fantastic to see more kids walking to school or riding their bikes/scooters to school.  This really helps alleviate traffic and of course, promotes Holy Trinity as a healthy, active school!  We really, really appreciate your TOTAL SUPPORT Hurricanes!  One accident or injury is one too many.  We need to be patient and always take care of each other!  We don’t want to look like a Costco Parking Lot!!!

Have a fabulous weekend Hurricanes! We pray that each of you find the time to reflect on all that is GOOD in your life and are reminded during Holy Week, that God always walks by our side through it all and no matter what, He never abandons us.
