Hurricane 'WEEKLY' Newsletter for February 6th - 10th, 2022

Wait!  What?  It's February!?!

Another terrific week has flown by Hurricanes, so please find attached, our Hurricane WEEKLY Newsletter attached for February 6th - 10th, 2023.

There are a lot of fun and engaging things coming up at Hurricane Country, so please continue to visit our Twitter and Facebook pages often to stay on top of it all!

Monday, February 20th is a Family Day Statutory Holiday, so we hope you can take the opportunity to spend some downtime with your loved ones.  However, we also can't wait to celebrate our own H.T. School Family on Friday, February 17th.  It will be a day full of fun activities and opportunities for students and staff to connect with each other.  Stay tuned on details for that.

Even more importantly, we will prepare for the Easter Season by celebrating the 40 days of Lent, beginning on Wednesday, February 22nd.  Father Valentine will join our school community for a Lenten Liturgy and help prepare our hearts, minds and hands to become closer to God.  Parents and relatives are welcome to join us.  On Tuesday, February 21st, we will celebrate Shrove Tuesday and cook pancakes for our 500+ students.  So we need your help to say the least!  If you can lend some time in the morning between 8-10am to flip some cakes, or lend us an electric griddle to use, please email [email protected].  Thank you Hurricanes!

Hoping all of you made it safely through this cold day, but enjoyed the beautiful sunshine - which reminds us that the seasons are always in change, as are we.  Just remember that we always have 2 choices in any given situation, "STEP BACKWARD INTO SAFETY AND COMFORT, OR STEP FORWARD BRAVELY INTO GROWTH AND LEARNING..."  If we choose the latter, just know that together all things are possible, especially through Christ who strengthens us.

Thank you for your ongoing belief in us as a school community. It truly gives us the enCOURAGEment to keep going FOR our young people and FOR each other!

Take care Hurricanes, have a terrific weekend!
