Hurricane WEEKLY Newsletter September 30th - October 5th, 2024-2025 "Just Released!"
Good afternoon and HAPPY FRIDAY you awesome Hurricanes!
First off, thank you for attending our OPEN HOUSE and BBQ last night! We had so many families attend and the students were so excited and proud to bring their families to their classrooms! There was a great spirit of joy, enthusiasm and community in the air. It was great to see all of you…
Secondly, thank you for your super-generous support of our Terry Fox Fundraising Campaign. Our goal of $2100 was S-U-R-P-A-S-S-E-D! How could we expect anything less from our Hurricane Community?! Your generosity is always AMAZING! To date, we raised $2,500 towards the fight-against-cancer! Way to go everyone!! Terry would be so proud. Thank you for keeping his MARATHON-OF-HOPE alive! This afternoon, we will be shaving and colouring some staff heads and throwing some pies in the face to celebrate reaching our goal, more importantly to celebrate LIFE!
Please find attached our Hurricane WEEKLY Newsletter for September 30th – October 4th, 2024. There are many important dates and events coming up like PICTURE DAY! This is a special fundraising event on Saturday, October 5th. There will be two external CLUB OFFERINGS - "Mad Science" and "Little Jammerz Glee Club." Please see the attached REGISTRATION FORMS for more info. Registration is done online.
Finally, we celebrated our 1st School Mass today with Father Valentine. It was beautiful and powerful! Father blessed and prayed for our entire school community, as we embark on a brand new school year – he reminded us that we will always face challenges, but to always work hard. Most importantly, he reminded as that “when we walk with Jesus, he will never disappoint us!” Remember that Hurricanes. God is good – ALL THE TIME…And all the time – GOD IS GOOD!
That’s it for now friends and family. Don't forget to wear ORANGE on Monday, September 30th as we continue to learn and reflect on TRUTH & RECONCILIATION... Have a wonderful weekend and always remember to take care of yourselves AND each other!
