Winter Walk to School Day is taking place on February 7th, 2024 in schools across Ontario! Students and families are encouraged to walk or wheel on their journey between home and school throughout the month of February. Students can also participate by walking around the school yard at lunch. The aim is to celebrate active school travel and to spend time outside in all seasons. Walking and wheeling to school are great ways to include physical activity in the day, and it is well known that students who use active travel to get to school arrive alert and ready to learn. On that note, an important reminder that we are doing our very best to limit the amount of cars and traffic on our school property FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS. Therefore, please refrain from using our parking lots and driveway loops “before and afterschool.” The front driveway loop is only available to Kindergarten parents as a Kiss N’ Ride drop-off.
