Well, we’re two weeks into 2024 and hopefully feeling in a groove transitioning back to school and normal work routines. Thanks again to Mrs. Bendo, Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Ben’s classes for leading our New Year’s Liturgy and Prayer Service this past week, you did a fabulous job reminding us “to shine that little light that God puts into each and everyone of us!”
Just few quick updates this week;
- Please help us in congratulating Holy Trinity’s next Head Office Assistant – Mrs. Nicole Ryan. As we know, she learned from the Jedi Master herself, Mrs. Amanda Langella. They were a great team! We are so excited for both of them - for Mrs. Ryan to begin a new chapter in H.T.’s move into the future, and Mrs. Langella as she embarks new growth and learning in Lion Country! We love them both and they will both do amazing wherever and whatever they do! We are in the process of hiring a support Office Assistant. Stay tuned…
- Please help us welcome Mrs. Alisha Puigmarti, who will be taking Mrs. Busato’s place in her Grade 5 class. As we know, Mrs. Busato will be sharing her talents with other schools in Wellington Catholic as a Multi-Lingual Learner Resource educator beginning Monday, January 29th! We will miss her for sure! However, Mrs. Puigmarti comes to us from Sacred Heart Rockwood, and she just can’t wait to add to the H.T. spirit! Best wishes to both of these superstars!
- Staff will be preparing Term 1 Report Cards for Grades 1-8 and Communication of Learning for Kindergarten students this Friday, January 26th. This is an Elementary Professional Activity Day – no school for our Hurricanes . These reports will be sent home with the students on Tuesday, February 13th.
- A reminder to please HELP S-P--R--E---A---D THE WORD, that Kindergarten Registration is “now open” for September 2023-2024! We’ve had an amazing start to date and our enrollment numbers for next year have already surpassed this year’s thanks to everyone’s hardwork in making H.T. a great place! If you know of any young families in the community, let ‘em know where to go! We would appreciate that…
- After having just celebrated the season of Christmas and Jesus’ birth, we soon enter into the Holy season of Lent. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday which takes place on Wednesday, February 14th this year – Valentine’s Day! What better way to celebrate than by focusing on the “love” that God desires for us when He sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ, to wipe away our sins and open up the gates of heaven! Father “Valentine” will be joining us to celebrate Mass too! Lent is a journey towards Easter and we will be encouraging staff and students towards ALMSGIVING, PRAYER and FASTING from something in their lives they can do without. But before all that, we all know that Pankake (Shrove) Tuesday takes place on Tuesday, February 13th. Like last year, we plan to have all of our students share in each other’s company in the gymnasium and feast on some pancakes and fruit. Stay tuned for an eblast coming soon, as we will need parent volunteers to cook, griddles to borrow and sponsors!
